AC/DC: Dirty Deeds Done Dirty Cheap (1976)

In 1981, Atlantic Records was sued because the lyric 36-24-36 was followed by what some thought was the number 8. As a result, a couple in Illinois received thousands of prank calls. The number actually referenced the perfect woman's measurements. Whether or not the 8 actually exists in the recording is up to the listener.

The Rolling Stones: Memory Motel (1976)

Mick and Keith share vocals on "Memory Motel", which is unusual for a Stones record. It is also one of the longest Stones songs at over 7 minutes. The motel itself is based on an establishment in Long Island, New York. The identity of the woman in question is not known, but speculation ranges from Annie Liebovitz to Carly Simon.

Heart: Magic Man (1976)

Ann Wilson sings about an older man seducing a young woman. It turns out the song is autobiographical and the conversation with her mother actually took place in some form.  "Magic Man" became Heart’s first Top 10 hit in America and features a sweet synth riff.

Boston: More Than A Feeling (1976)

Tom Scholz worked on "More Than A Feeling" and five other songs in his basement in 1974 and 1975. The song became the debut single off Boston's debut album. The song helped the album become the largest selling debut at the time. Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit" bares a striking resemblance to "More Than A Feeling."

Blue Oyster Cult: (Don't Fear) The Reaper (1976)

The song will never die...despite being about suicide! Well, at least that's what most people think. Apparently, it's really about everlasting love. Guess that title was taken. Anyway, it has become a classic rock staple.
