Pyromania- Def Leppard- An amazing rock album

The Doors- The Doors- As everyone is going peace and love, The Doors drop this.

The Empire Strikes Back-SDT- Amazing piece of cinematic music history. Iconic.

The Dance- Fleetwood Mac- I just enjoy it.

Wasted Light-Foo Fighters- IMO, the Foos best effort. It harkens back to a better time in music.

Def Leppard: She's Too Tough (1993)

"She's Too Tough" is the b-side from the "Heaven Is" single. It was also a bonus track for Adrenalize in Japan.  The song is better than some of Def Lepp's singles of the period.

Def Leppard: Promises (1999)

Def Leppard scored a top 40 hit and a #1 on the rock charts in 1999 with "Promises." It's one of the few songs of the period to do well on the charts. The band was a monster a decade earlier and "Promises" marked a return to their classic sound after some experimentation.

Def Leppard: Gods of War (1987)

Most pop metal bands of the era avoided politics. Def Leppard eschewed this and critiqued Reagan-Thatcherism in "Gods of War." The song appears on their seminal album, Hysteria, and features soundbites from both Reagan and Thatcher. By the time the album was released, the Cold War seemed to be thawing.

Def Leppard: White Lightning (1992)

Def Leppard suffered through many hardships in the 1980s. After the success of Hysteria, the worst appeared behind them. In 1991, guitarist Steve Clark died from a combination of alcohol, painkillers, and anti-depressants. The band claimed he literally died in the gutter. In response, they recorded "White Lightning" chronically his struggles. They featured the song on the Adrenalize album, which is probably the last major hit record for the pop metal genre.

860. Die Hard the Hunter by Def Leppard (1983)

Back when people bought albums, everyone purchased Def Leppard's Pyromania. The work turned out to be one of the seminal albums of the early-to-mid eighties and made Leppard superstars. One of the most underrated songs on the album is "Die Hard the Hunter" which gets lost in the flood of hits. The song also represents a transition in sound for the band from their earlier stuff to what would become their signature sound.

939. Desert Song by Def Leppard (1993)

Def Leppard released "Desert Song" with other outtakes and rarities on 1993's Retro Active. The song came out of the Hysteria sessions in 1987. It became a rock radio hit six years later and is one of Def Leppard's best. "Desert Song" is one of the last Def Leppard releases co-written by guitarist Steve Clark who died in 1991.

995. Let's Get Rocked by Def Leppard (1992)

This one is for fun. Based in part on Bart Simpson! 18 years later, Bart is still on the air. The song marked Def Lep's first new album in 5 years and provided a counterpoint to Grunge which was taking over by this point.
