U2: Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses (1992)

U2 was never satisfied with "Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses." Bono and Adam Clayton both reflected that the song was difficult to record and play in concert. Official Site: http://www.u2.com/

U2 formed in 1976 in Larry Mullen’s kitchen. The group went from “The Larry Mullen Band” to “Feedback” to “The Hype” before settling on U2. They won a talent contest, which allowed them to record a demo. U2 scored a hit in Ireland in 1979 before expanding overseas. Island Records signed them in 1980.

In 1983, they released War, which made them stars.

The band went on hiatus for a couple years after burning out. Bono felt they had stagnated and announced the band had to reinvent itself.
