"Duel of Fates" provided the soundtrack to the lightsaber duel between Darth Maul, Qui-Gon Jinn, and Obi-Wan Kenobi. It contains a chorus providing a religious feel. The suite returned for Episode II and III.

Hysteria- Def Leppard- A high school soundtrack...much better than anything high schoolers get today.

Pyromania- Def Leppard- An amazing rock album

The Doors- The Doors- As everyone is going peace and love, The Doors drop this.

The Empire Strikes Back-SDT- Amazing piece of cinematic music history. Iconic.

The Dance- Fleetwood Mac- I just enjoy it.

Wasted Light-Foo Fighters- IMO, the Foos best effort. It harkens back to a better time in music.

Blondie: The Tide Is High (1980)

Blondie is one of the most eclectic groups in music history. They began as a punk band, but evolved to include everything around them. In this case, they throw some reggae into the mix. The video had a figure that looks remarkably like Darth Vader.

John Williams: The Asteroid Field (1980)

This track is from The Empire Strikes Back and IMO one of Williams best. It provides the ominous Imperial March in a background of falling rocks. At points, it is reminiscent of Krypton's explosion in the original Superman.

823. The Battle in the Snow by John Williams (1980)

This is one of the best tracks on one of my favorite soundtracks of all time. You can feel the AT-AT walkers marching on the rebels in the music. I was 8 when the movie came out which may help explain my affinity for the film and its music...and yes the original version is superior to the special edition!

896. The Forest Battle by John Williams (1983)

"The Forest Battle" announces the beginning of the end for the Evil Galactic Empire in the Star Wars saga. The music coincides with Chewbacca's commandeering a scout walker and using it on imperial troops. The Battle of Endor turns in the favor of the rebels and their Ewok allies.

992. Californication by the Red Hot Chili Peppers (2000)

A lot of pop culture references in this one. The RHCP reference David Bowie, Kurt Cobain, Star Wars, Star Trek, the moon landing conspiracy theory, and Dorothy Stratten. It also examines the dark side of Hollywood with references to porn, fake boobs, plastic surgery, and the self destructive nature of many artists.

Best Line: Destruction leads to a very rough road but it also breeds creation.
