One of the most influential bands of the 1960s. They pioneered the folk rock genre. They essentially combined the Beatles’ sound with Dylan’s poetry.

Tensions in the group led to lineup changes. The band then pioneered country rock.

Infighting led to the band’s demise. There were reunions over the years.

The Byrds heavily influenced The Eagles, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, and R.E.M.
