U2: Rock n Roll Hall of Fame Class of 2005 part 2


U2 became the biggest band in the world with The Joshua Tree album. However, reaction to the Rattle and Hum movie was highly negative. By 1990, the band was burned out and felt stagnate. They decided to rethink the band. They recorded their next album in Berlin. Actung Baby put U2 back on top.

Ethnic cleansing in Yugoslavia distressed U2. They recorded a song with Luciano Pavarotti to try and help.


U2 freaked their fans out with a video reminiscent of the Village People and released the Pop album.
