Alice Cooper is the Godfather of Shock Rock. He brought theater and spectacle to rock by combining horror and vaudeville to garage rock.

Alice Cooper is actually the name of the band, but later became associated with its lead singer Vincent Furnier. Supposedly, they used a Quija board to come up with the name. They really knew how to connect with fans and young people.
