Freddie King was an influential blues artist. He combined Chicago with Texas blues to create his own sound. King also featured a multi-racial band. His work influenced Dickie Betts, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and others. Freddie King died on December 28, 1976 due to stress and a terrible diet consisting of Bloody Marys.
