In 1960, the Four Lovers became the Four Seasons with Frankie Valli on lead vocals. They released their first single in 1961.

By the late 60s, people wanted harder edged rock music and the Four Seasons struggled.

They experienced an up tick in popularity in the mid-70s.

Following Grease, neither Frankie Valli nor the Four Seasons experienced much success on the charts with the exception of “December 1963 (Oh, What a Night)” return to the charts in 1994.
