Bonnie Raitt: Rock n Roll Hall of Fame Class of 2000

After graduating high school, Raitt ended up playing folk and R&B in Boston clubs.  She signed with Warner Brothers in 1970.

A buzz surrounded her leading to press coverage. Raitt did not breakthrough commercially until 1977.

She was dropped from her label in 1983. By the late 80s, she had kicked substance abuse and experienced her greatest commercial success.
