George Harrison: Brainwashed (2003)

George Harrison began work on his final album in 1988, but was in no hurry to finish. Following a cancer battle in 1997, he refocused his energies. He died in 2001 before finishing the work. His son, Dhani and friend Jeff Lynne completed the album's final tracks for release in 2003. The title track recounts modern society in general and people's ability to be brainwashed over petty, sometimes insignificant, materialism. Lyrically, Brainwashed is reminiscent of The Beatles' "Taxman" also composed by Harrison.
