George Harrison: Rock n Roll Hall of Fame Class of 2004




George Harrison began with The Beatles. Harrison brought folk rock and Indian music to The Beatles. Also, he was responsible for some of the band’s greatest songs.

The Beatles split in 1970 and George went solo. His album, All Things Must Pass, might be the best solo work by a Beatle.



In 1971, he organized the first rock benefit concert for refugees of the Bangladesh Civil War.


He continued his solo career…




He made a cameo in a spoof about the Beatles.

Harrison joined the supergroup The Traveling Wilburys in 1988.

In 1994, he reunited with The Beatles for The Beatles Anthology and two new songs.


In 1999, an intruder stabbed Harrison 40 times. Harrison survived, but was later diagnosed with cancer. He died on November 29, 2001.
