Armstrong attended a church baptism and was horrified. The end result was
"East Jesus Nowhere." To say the song is highly critical of religion
would be an understatement. It does represent the rising tide of anger toward
all things Christian, which has permeated the American left in recent years. This leads to interesting questions about what constitutes bigotry.
