The Dells: Rock n Roll Hall of Fame Class of 2004



The Dells formed in 1952 as the El-Rays. They changed their name three years later and signed with Vee-Jay Records.

Their first hit:


In 1958, a car accident left Mickey McGill hospitalized. The group disbanded for two years.

They did not begin to experience major success until the mid-60s.
