Wenner
cofounded Rolling Stone magazine. He
helped along several writers including Hunter S. Thompson, Joe Klein, and
Cameron Crowe. Wenner discovered
photographer Annie Leibovitz. In 1983,
he cofounded the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame and has been the subject of
controversy. Many acts believe that he has blocked their admittance to the
Hall.
